Free CV maker

A free CV maker that builds your CV the way employers in the UK, Ireland, Australia, India and most of the world expect it: A4 paper, clear headings, one or two pages, and real text that recruitment software can read. Upload your old CV to reformat it in a clean layout, or tell the AI about your work, and it writes and lays out the rest.

Free to start. No card needed.

How it works

  1. 01

Bring your old CV, or start fresh

Upload a PDF or Word CV, or a photo of a printed one, and it is moved into the editor. No CV yet? Start the chat and describe your education and work.

  2. 02

Let the AI ask the questions

It asks about each job, project or internship one question at a time, and writes your personal profile, experience and skills from your answers.

  3. 03

    Pick an A4 layout

Every CV starts on A4, the paper size used in the UK, Europe, Australia and India. Choose a plain, single-column layout for job portals or a two-column one to email to a person.

  4. 04

    Match it to the vacancy

Paste the job advert. The AI rewrites your profile and points around it, scores the CV against the advert and lists the keywords you are missing.

  5. 05

    Download and upload

With Pro, download a PDF with real text, ready for LinkedIn, Indeed, Reed, Seek, Naukri or a company careers page. On the free plan, download it as a text file.

What goes on a CV in the UK and beyond

  • Personal details: keep them short

Name, phone, email, city and a LinkedIn link are enough. UK employers don't expect a date of birth, marital status or photo. Some employers in India and the Gulf, and some government forms, still ask for them; add them only when the job does.

  • A personal profile, not an objective

Three or four lines at the top: who you are, your years of experience, and what you are best at. In the UK this is called a personal profile or personal statement.

  • Experience, newest first

Job title, employer, city and dates, then points that start with a verb and show a result. Older or less relevant jobs can be one line each.

  • Education with your marks

Degree, college or university, and year. In the UK, add your degree classification, like 2:1, while you are early in your career; in India, your CGPA or percentage.

  • Skills the job advert names

Tools, software and languages you can really use, written the way the advert writes them, so recruitment software matches them.

  • Leave out what wastes space

"References available on request", a full postal address and a declaration at the bottom add nothing. Use the room for one more result.

CV or resume?

In the UK, Ireland, Australia, India and most of the world, a CV is a one or two page summary of your work: what Americans call a resume. In the US, a CV usually means a longer academic record of research and publications. This CV maker makes the first kind.

  1. 01

    Graduates: one page

Education, projects, internships and skills fit on one page. Put the strongest of them first.

  2. 02

    Experienced: up to two

Two pages is normal in the UK, Australia and India for experienced candidates. Give the last ten years the most space.

Who it's for

  • Students and graduates

The AI asks about your final-year project, internships, certificates and college activities, and turns them into proof that you can do the job.

  • Experienced professionals

Upload the CV you've been adding to for years. The AI brings it into one clean layout and helps you cut it down to what matters now.

  • Applying abroad

Moving between the UK, Europe, Australia, the Gulf or India? Ask the AI to adjust the CV to the country you are applying to, and switch between A4 and US Letter in one click.

  • People who'd rather talk than type

Describe your work in voice messages. The AI turns them into written points you can edit.

Questions

Is this CV maker free?
You can start free: as many CVs as you like, 25 AI messages in total, and a text-file download. Every template is free to design with; downloading a PDF, in any template, is part of Pro: ₹1,599/month or ₹3,299 for 3 months plus GST in India, or $29/month or $59 for 3 months elsewhere.
What is the difference between a CV and a resume?
In the UK, Ireland, Australia and India, CV is simply the usual word for a one or two page summary of your work, which Americans call a resume. In the US, a CV is a longer academic document. For most job applications outside the US, a CV and a resume are the same thing.
Should I put a photo on my CV?
For UK jobs, no: employers there generally advise against photos. In India it is optional and some employers still like one. The templates show a photo only if you add one, so you can make one version with and one without.
How long should a CV be?
One page for students and recent graduates. Two pages is normal for experienced candidates in the UK, Australia and India. Longer than that, and recruiters stop reading.
Will my CV work on job portals like Indeed, Reed and Seek?
Yes. The PDF has real text, and the single-column templates use the standard headings recruitment software expects. Run the built-in ATS check against the job advert before you upload.
Can it reformat my existing CV?
Yes. Upload your CV as a PDF or Word file, or a photo of a printed one, and it is moved into the editor in a clean A4 layout. Switch templates without retyping anything, then ask the AI to tighten the wording or fix the headings recruitment software expects.
Is this a CV maker for the UK?
Yes. CVs start on A4 with UK-style sections: a personal profile, experience newest first, education with your degree classification, and skills. It leaves out what UK employers don't expect, like a date of birth or photo, unless you add them.
Can I keep more than one version of my CV?
The free plan has one CV. Pro has unlimited CVs, so you can keep a main CV and a copy matched to each job, or one for the UK and one for another country.
